Sure signs of spring are everywhere!Spring notes from Stick and Stone Farm:Things are starting to fall into place! Those plants we've been tending to are going in the ground and everyone is busy. The weather is excellent for growing- the cover crop gains inches every day. The lettuce, kale, scallions, chard, and cabbage have adjusted to being torn from their trays and shoved into the earth last week, and now the onions and shallots are going through that same process. It seems crazy that in a month we'll be ready to put out a share of the harvest, but it's definitely dizzying how much motion is happening... mowing, tillage and bed prep, seeding and transplanting, covering, arranging, re-arranging. Chaw's step count is over 20,000/day, and most days there are 7 of us going full tilt. We trust that the membership will fall into place as well. That those 30-odd households that we are assuming will want a share of all this will remember to sign up! If you or your neighbor-buddy-pal is one of those people please don't forget.
